Dr Chhitij Srivastava (MD, DNB, CCT) is a Psychiatrist with specialist training in Child & Adolescent psychiatry. He is one of the very few trained Child Psychiatrists in North India and the only one in Prayagraj. He is an affiliate at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London and is also an adjunct faculty at Centre of Behaviour & Cognitive Sciences, University of Allahabad. He trained in psychiatry at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow and the Maudsley hospital, London, one of the best Psychiatry set-ups in the world. Dr Chhitij is the Consultant Psychiatrist at Allahabad Child Development Centre, a multi-speciality centre to meet the psychological, developmental and medical needs of the young population. He has worked as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at King’s College London before relocating to India. His training is deeply rooted in the biopsychosocial model and it reflects in his practice. His team includes his wife Dr Alka Srivastava, a Paediatrician, psychologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists and special educators. He uses medicines and a variety of psychological means like counseling, cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, parent training to treat his patients.
